Calendar of Events for 2010

18-Feb-2010 HR Tech Group proudly announces its 2010 Calendar of Events to support this year's theme:

"Raising the Bar for HR:
Advancing the strategic value of HR and contributing to the bottom line in 2010"

In today’s constantly evolving business environment, HR professionals in the technology industry are faced with two seemingly conflicting goals: reducing costs and improving service. While these two objectives may appear to be incompatible with each other, they don’t necessarily need to be. By moving from a transactional focus to a strategic one, HR professionals can achieve both goals and deliver value to their organizations.

Accordingly, the HR Tech Group has developed a Quarterly Events Calendar for 2010 that focuses on exploring, encouraging and advancing the strategic value of human resources in the BC technology industry.  The goal of the quarterly events programming is to provide our members with networking and learning opportunities which will provide information about:

1) the strategic role of HR in achieving business objectives and gaining competitive advantage

2) innovative ways for HR to align with business goals and contribute to the bottom line; and

3) tools that can enhance the value HR brings to the organization
