BC Tech Compensation:  What do the latest surveys tell us?

The HR Tech Group is proud to release highlights of its 2010 HIgh Tech Salary Survey at this session.  This is the leading tech salary survey produced in BC in partnership with Towers Watson - with more than 200 individual positions from CEO to receptionist, and data supplied by more than 70 tech companies in all tech sectors (IT, new media, wireless and clean tech).  In addition, HR Tech Group will also provide highlights from its 2010 Tech Benefits Survey produced in partnership with Morneau Sobeco.  Following the survey highlights, there will be a choice of breakout sessions to provide you with further in-depth information on the topic most relevant to your business:  Benefits cost-management; How to apply salary survey findings to your company; and Executive Compensation.

(1) Benefits Management - The prescription drug marketplace is rapidly changing.  Many key drugs are coming off patent, the pipeline of biologic drugs is growing and BC PharmaCare has just announced reduced generic drug pricing effective October 2010. The first part of this session will discuss how these changes will impact employer sponsored programs and what you can do to better manage your drug costs.   The second half will provide a quick look at flexible benefit programs, focusing on why employers would be interested in flex, how plans are commonly designed, and most importantly, how does the pricing of flex work.

(2) How to Use the Tech Salary Survey to Make an Impact at your Company - How can you best make use of this important tool for your organization?  Hear from 2 local companies on how this tool helps them make wise business decisions.  Rainmaker Entertainment will provide insights on how the tool is used from a recruitment perspective, while airG will share how they use this tool to ensure competitiveness for their employees, adjusting ranges, and implementing increases.
