HR Metrics for the Tech Sector
 

As part of it's service offerings to members, HR Tech Group collects and reports on key metrics for tech companies.  This important initiative furthers the HR Tech Group's mandate of assisting HR in providing strategic value to BC tech companies.

The project started in Q3 2010, and reports continue to be generated quarterly.  Approximately 20 HR Tech Group member companies are actively participating.

The key metrics that are being generated are: 

1.  REVENUE PER FTE
(The number of dollars of revenue from operations generated per full time employee, measures talent effectiveness)

2. HUMAN CAPITAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT
(The rate of return for each dollar invested in employee pay & benefits - based on pre-tax profit)

3. LABOUR COST REVENUE PERCENT
(The total labour costs as a percentage of organizational revenue, or how much of your money is spent on people)

4. RESIGNATION RATE
(Employees who resigned from the organization as a percentage of headcount; helps to assess overall "health" of the workforce.)

5. COST OF VOLUNTARY TURNOVER
(The average cost to replace each employee who left voluntarily.)
