D&I Training

We run three intensive Diversity and Inclusion leadership training programs, designed specifically for tech industry leaders. These are the programs: 

1) Inclusive Leadership Program

2) Inclusive Change Agent Program

3) C-Suite D&I Training

Inclusive Leadership Program

Our goal with this training is to provide you with skills to build a workplace where everyone has access and equal opportunity to succeed.

This program is designed for leaders seeking to expand their awareness around diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The program is targeted towards leaders open to challenging their own perspectives and creating more productive and inclusive teams.

The learning outcomes you can have with this 4-day program are:
  • Learn how to describe the competitive advantage and value of diversity and inclusion in your organization.
  • Identify your underlying beliefs, areas of privilege and personal bias.
  • Explain the societal and organizational barriers for women, indigenous individuals, people of colour, people living with disabilities and other underrepresented groups such as immigrants and members of the LGBTQ+/2s community.
  • Apply communication tools that can open dialogue and shift perspectives.
  • Commit to and practice inclusive leadership behaviors such as empathy, listening, accountability, curiosity and acknowledgement.
  • Identify opportunities to set the conditions for an inclusive environment.
  • Search out ways to advocate for underrepresented groups by noticing and reducing bias in organizational systems, such as attracting recruiting and developing staff.

Inclusive Change Agent Program

Our goal with this training is to provide you with skills to develop inclusive and diverse workplaces.

This program is designed for HR and organizational leaders with an interest in developing diversity and inclusion practices within their tech organization.  Participants require 5+ years of experience in HR or other organizational leadership capacity.

The learning outcomes you can have with this 4-day program are:
  • Articulate a compelling story for diversity and inclusion.
  • Identify your underlying beliefs, areas of privilege and personal bias.
  • Apply communication techniques to open dialogue and shift perspectives.
  • Identify how beliefs, privilege and personal bias underpin organizational systems such as attraction, recruitment and development and what to do about them.
  • Design a systematic approach to build diversity and inclusion best practices for your organization.
  • Access information and resources to be able to advocate for under-represented groups.
  • Build a network to support and leverage tech sector learning.
  • Apply learning in practical ways between sessions.

C-Suite Diversity & Inclusion Training

Our goal with this training is to provide you with a peer-based learning experience that enables and inspires you to drive change across your organization. 

The program is designed for c-suite executives, founders and board directors of BC-based technology companies who want to drive change and build more diverse teams and networks within and outside of their organizations.

The learning outcomes you can have with this half-day program are:
  • Articulate the competitive advantage of developing and maintaining a diverse workforce and inclusive culture.
  • Explain societal and organizational barriers for women, Indigenous individuals, people living with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups such as immigrants and members of the LGBTQ/2S+ community.
  • Through self-assessment, identify underlying beliefs, areas of privilege and personal bias.
  • Describe / Articulate a compelling diversity and inclusion vision for your organization. 
  • Understand what other tech companies are doing for D&I and learn from other leaders in the sector who are already taking the necessary actions and seeing success.
  • Identify key strategies and tactics to open dialogue, reduce and overcome barriers, shift perspectives and promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Identify one or more strategic actions you can take after the program to build a more diverse and inclusive organization
  • A commitment to take action to make a change and move forward.
