We are under tremendous pressure as our organizations turn to our HR teams to lead the way in keeping employees safe and healthy at work, whether that’s in a workplace or at home. You’re being asked to lead the way in managing remote workforces and maintaining morale and in developing and managing cost cutting measures. Many of you are leading the way in remote hiring, onboarding and training.
This is an incredible pivot for all of us, and we’re doing it mostly in isolation from our homes, while our own lives have been turned sideways and for many now also include full time childcare and schooling. Deep breath...

Many activities are business as usual for us.
We are currently running our Benefits Survey with HUB International. This survey provides valuable, detailed benefits information and it’s only done once every two years. Don’t miss out! You only get the results if you participate. We have extended the deadline to April 9th.
Our mentoring program is in full swing and now more than ever, those connections are valuable. Mentors and mentees - Please continue to meet, remotely of course, and join us for the April 9th mid-cycle virtual program check-in.
The D&I Tech Project is going strong. We’re building the Resource HUB, developing C-Suite training curriculum and will soon release two more videos highlighting careers in tech. Our two pilot D&I Training programs were unfortunately stalled mid-delivery, but our program provider, Refinery Leadership, is working on plan B so the participants can complete those courses. We’ll be measuring diversity through our salary survey process as planned, and Veza Strategy is starting a second round of D&I audits for tech companies.
We’re not hosting in-person meetings, obviously, so our SIGs, learning events and training are now online when possible. When not possible, they are being postponed. Dare to Lead Workshop participants – be sure to let Tara know your preferred format for finishing the course. Our Summer Socials likely won’t happen this year… But we’ll wait and see!
